Hospice of Jennings County
The office of Hospice of Jennings County was established in the fall of 1991 when an agreement was signed with Jennings County Hospital to help coordinate Hospice services in the Jennings County area. In early 1994, an advisory committee comprised of area community leaders was formed to help advise and promote Hospice of Jennings County. Also started during that year was the annual fundraising event, "Work From the Heart" to raise funds for patients and families served by Hospice of Jennings County. The event changed over the years, and is now an annual dinner, dance and auction.
Because of continued growth of the program, the office was moved over the years to larger office locations, and today Hospice of Jennings County is located at 245 Norris Avenue, North Vernon, Indiana. In 2006, Hospice of Jennings County served over 201
patients and provided bereavement services to more than 302 family members.
